Executive Assistant (Volunteer)

Responsibilities:

  • Office Management: Organizing files and records.
  • Calendar and Scheduling: Managing the ED's calendar, scheduling appointments and meetings, and preparing necessary materials like presentations or reports.
  • Communication: Handling correspondence (emails, letters, phone calls), drafting and proofreading documents.
  • Meeting Support: Preparing agendas, following up on action items for board and committee meetings, and assisting with Zoom meetings and setup.

Skills:

  • Exceptional organizational skills: Meticulous attention to detail in managing schedules, calendars, travel arrangements, and documents.
  • Strong communication skills: Excellent written and verbal communication are crucial for drafting correspondence, and preparing reports and presentations.
  • Faith development knowledge: Possessing an understanding of Christian faith. Event Planning: Assisting with the organization and execution of events, including fundraising activities and community outreach programs.
  • Project Management: Supporting the Executive Director in various projects, including strategic planning, program development, and grant writing.

Flexible work hours are offered, allowing you to choose start and end times around core non-profit needs. This position qualifies for volunteer service hours.

Finance Coordinator (Volunteer)

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Manage the Budget: Work with the ministry leaders to create and manage the annual operational budget, ensuring it aligns with the organization's mission and goals.
  • Track Income and Expenses: Monitor and track all income (offerings, donations, fundraising, etc.) and expenses (staff salaries, facilities, ministry programs, administrative costs) against the approved budget.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare regular financial reports (monthly, quarterly, annually) for the board.
  • Communicate Effectively: Regularly communicate financial information to the Executive Director.
  • Support Fundraising Efforts: Collaborate with fundraising teams to set goals, track donations, and ensure responsible use of funds raised.

Prayer Ministry Assistant (Volunteer)

Responsibilities:

  • Receiving prayer requests: Gathering prayer requests submitted through various channels (e.g., website forms, email, phone).
  • Posting requests on the nonprofit website: Ensuring prayer requests are published on the designated section of the website in a timely and appropriate manner.
  • Maintaining confidentiality: Handling sensitive personal information in prayer requests with discretion and respect.
  • Responding to inquiries (optional but beneficial): Answering questions or providing basic support related to prayer requests or the prayer ministry.
